Prerequisites for Botox and Fillers injectable training
To pursue training in injectables Botox and Fillers in Quebec province, the prerequisites depend primarily on your profession. Here are the general requirements for new practitioners:
- Eligible professionals (main requirement)
Only regulated healthcare professionals can perform Botox and filler injections in Quebec. Training programs generally accept:
- Physicians (MD)
- Dentists (DMD) – Some programs require specialization (e.g., maxillofacial surgery).
- Registered Nurses (RN) – Must work under medical prescription (unless registered nurse practitioners)
- Specialized Nurse Practitioners (SNPs) – Partial autonomy depending on their field of practice.
Medical/dental students (residents) may sometimes take the training, but will not be able to inject without a valid license.
- Valid license and compulsory insurance
- Member in good standing of your professional order (Collège des médecins, OIIQ, ODQ).

- No prior experience with injectables is generally required for beginner courses.
- For nurses:
* A medical supervision agreement (if not IPS) with our supervising physician.
